Stephen Mitchell is an executive vice president responsible for managing the business development group, which includes client relations, portfolio growth, and support of client acquisition and development underwriting for Asset Living (Asset Campus, Asset Multi and Asset Senior). He utilizes his skill set to assist current and potential clients with all aspects of the investment and/or development process. Stephen has served as an advisor of the Bambu Fund LLC since 2015.

Stephen has close to 15 years of student housing experience focused on site selections, acquisitions and asset management. Prior to joining Asset, Stephen spent nine years in the student housing industry with two firms, Peak Campus Management and Place Properties, where he was responsible for all business development and acquisition activities. His career started in operations with Marriott International, where he worked for more than 9-years in multiple aspects of the business. The skills he learned with Marriott laid the knowledge foundation of customer intimacy and client relationships which he brought with him to his roles at Place, Peak and Asset, where he has assisted in significant growth for each of the firms.

Stephen earned his M.B.A. from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and his B.S. in Finance from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.
