Michael Olafusi is a certified Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM) and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expert. Toptal ranks Michael in the world's top three percent of finance expert freelancers. He has worked for an African private equity firm as a valuation and financial modeling analyst, consulted for a Canadian hedge fund, built financial models for a United Kingdom private equity firm, and did fundraising analysis and financial valuation in FinTech. Michael has served as an advisor of the Bambu Fund LLC since 2021 and joined Bambu’s senior advisor group in 2023.

Michael is the founder and lead consultant of MHS Analytics Inc., a registered Microsoft Excel consulting, financial modeling, business intelligence, data analysis and enterprise solutions firm headquartered in Canada. MHS Analytics specializes in helping companies and high-value professionals derive the most value from their business data. Holding the highest level of expertise recognition from Microsoft as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), he also is an Excel and Power BI expert with published books and courses.

An earner of two master's degrees, Michael obtained a Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MScFE) from WorldQuant University USA and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nicosia. Michael received a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Federal University of Technology in Akure, Nigeria.

In addition to his international professional experience, Michael loves reading, writing, thinking, cycling, swimming and photography.
