Executive Vice President

Monique O. Nero, M.A.

Monique O. Nero has over 25 years of integrated marketing communication (IMC) expertise in B2B and B2C relations. Her experience includes consulting with business leaders, nonprofit executives and entrepreneurs on strategic communications, marketing and brand strategies.

Since 2016, Ms. Nero has served as executive vice president – communications and investor relations working closely with the CEO and chairman during the formation of the Bambu Fund LLC and on the board of directors of the Bambu Fund. She collaborates on strategic planning and designing a structure that aligns the Fund, internally and externally, to best communicate with shareholders, prospects and team members. Responsible for expanding the Fund’s brand footprint, Monique highlights Bambu’s investment philosophy to grow the family of Bambu shareholders. She spearheads the Fund’s IMC, brand initiatives, public relations and digital presence. Monique also serves on the board of trustees for Bambu Wellness, Ltd.

Ms. Nero is the founder of Nero Management, LLC – established to discover passions, strengthen relationships and communicate experiences. As a consultant, Monique writes and edits marketing communications plus policies and procedures promoting better alignment with an organization’s mission, vision and goals. She shapes strategic relations and advises on message development for C-level executives, industry experts and entrepreneurs. Monique has handled IMC for AT&T, BMW, MCI WorldCom, the National Urban League and United Parcel Service.

Monique is a Ph.D. candidate in the Creative Leadership for Innovation and Change program at the University of the Virgin Islands in the territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands. She received her M.A. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University's Steinhardt School of Education in New York City.; a B.A. in Elementary Education from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.; a Creative Writing Certificate from the College of Continuing & Professional Education, Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.; and is a graduate of Leadership America. To extend her research in mindful leadership and creativity, Monique is becoming a Chopra Certified Life Coach and completed the Chopra Certified Meditation Teacher program. For decades, Monique has provided servant leadership to her community as a board member and volunteer with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; the Junior League of Atlanta; the Atlanta Chapter, National Black MBA Association; and other socially responsible organizations.
