Executive Vice President

Monique O. Nero, M.A.

Monique O. Nero has over 30 years of integrated marketing communication (IMC) expertise in B2B and B2C relations. Her experience includes consulting and coaching business, nonprofit and entrepreneurial leaders on strategic communications, marketing, and brand strategies, all viewed through the lens of mindfulness practices and creative leadership. After founding Nero Management, LLC, Ms. Nero has served as a consultant for over 15 years, shaping strategic relationships and advising on message development. Throughout her career, she has managed integrated marketing communications for AT&T, BMW, MCI WorldCom, the National Urban League, and United Parcel Service. Monique has written and edited marketing communications, as well as policies and procedures, to promote better alignment with an organization’s mission, vision, and goals.

Since 2016, Ms. Nero has served as executive vice president of communications and investor relations, collaborating on strategic planning with the CEO and chairman during the formation of the Bambu Fund LLC. Responsible for expanding the Fund’s brand footprint, Monique highlights Bambu’s investment philosophy to grow the family of Bambu shareholders. She spearheads the Fund’s IMC, brand initiatives, public relations and digital presence. Monique serves as secretary on the board of directors of the Bambu Fund and the board of trustees for Bambu Wellness, Ltd.

Monique is a Ph.D. candidate in the Creative Leadership for Innovation and Change program at the University of the Virgin Islands in the territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands. She received her M.A. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University's Steinhardt School of Education in New York City; a B.A. in Elementary Education from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.; and is a graduate of Leadership America. Monique is a Chopra Certified Life Coach and Chopra Certified Meditation Teacher. She has provided servant leadership to her community as a board member and volunteer with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; the Junior League of Atlanta; the Atlanta Chapter, National Black MBA Association; and other socially responsible organizations.
